Piano Tutor

PLC Music hosts an exciting range of musical groups including five choirs, four concert bands, six orchestras, jazz bands and many chamber groups. Additionally, our two pipe bands have served the community for over 30 years at many events including the annual ANZAC Day march through the city. Students also benefit from the musical partnership with our brother school, Scotch College. Collaborations include the PLC/Scotch Jazz Bands and our annual Senior Musical Production.

Casual Piano Tutor

Approximately 10 hours of teaching required (per week)

Commencing Term 1, 2025 

PLC seeks to engage a suitably experienced and enthusiastic casual Piano Tutor to join the PLC Music Department. The successful candidate will have experience in teaching piano to students in early years (Pre-Kindergarten to Year 2) and formal Suzuki qualifications are desirable. They should also demonstrate exceptional music performance ability and be committed to the delivery of best practice in Music education. They will be a team player, proactive, and strive to achieve advanced outcomes in individual lessons, preparing students for formal assessments in either the AMEB or Suzuki pathway.

PLC has established a proud tradition of outstanding music making and are looking forward to working with the successful candidate to be a part of this tradition. The role will commence in Term 1 2025 and the successful candidate will work in our new Music Centre, a purpose-built three-storey facility which will serve the families of our community for generations to come. We currently house the only full size Bechstein concert grand piano in Western Australia, imported from Germany at the end of 2023.
