“The five S’s of sports training are: stamina, speed, strength, skill, and spirit; but the greatest of these is spirit.”
– Ken Doherty

We believe in the power of sport to bring out the best in girls and we believe every girl is worthy of the opportunity to strive for their personal best.

Our Girls Represent Team PLC

The image of a team in a huddle symbolises PLC sport. Girls standing side by side, knowing they belong and proudly representing the blue, white and green. At PLC we don’t shy away from the notion that participating to the best of your ability is as important as competing to the best of your ability. We celebrate both the team and the individual understanding that it’s the journey of effort and the memories created along the way that is the real success.

PLC has a tradition of exceptional participation with an unwavering commitment to compete as a member of the Independent Girls’ Schools’ Sports Association (IGSSA) for both Junior and Senior School students. We operate as a Pre-K to Year 12 co-curricular sports programme with the aim to provide a cohesive, personalised and streamlined approach to skill development, fitness and competitive aspirations.

Our Junior School sports philosophy surrounds the notion of building a strong foundation of fundamental movement skills that will hold our girls in good stead for any sporting endeavour they choose in their future years. We offer a comprehensive sports programme where girls are encouraged to embrace the opportunity to learn from the life skills and experiences gained that comes with belonging to a team.
