Thank you to Liz Towner of Flametree Wines

Two generations of the West Australian bred Towner family created Flametree Wines in 2007, with a state-of-the-art winery and contemporary cellar door, located on the picturesque shores of Geographe Bay, at the gateway to the world-renowned Margaret River Wine Region.

The Flametree is native to Australia and provides a spectacular display of flowers. However, it only blooms if the conditions affecting climate, soil, frost, wind, and place of planting are in harmony. Flametree Wines feel the same about making wine. Perfume, structure, and elegance are the three essential elements to produce beautifully crafted and distinct wines. These are represented by the three leaves in the Flametree logo.

A hands-on and value-adding approach to winemaking sees fruit sourced from the best available vineyards in the region, crafting a distinctive house style that has elevated this relatively new player to the top echelon of regional wineries, achieving pedigree through its grower’s vine maturity and winemaking team’s experience.

By winning the Jimmy Watson Trophy with its very first wine, the 2007 Cabernet Merlot, Flametree established its vision of producing first-rate Australian wines of uncompromising quality and character. Named as a finalist the following year proved Flametree Wines was deserving of this prestigious award.

Flametree Wines has been a five-star rating in James Halliday’s definitive Australian Wine Companion since 2012, and its 2014 vintage SRS Wallcliffe Chardonnay placed in the top 10 in James Suckling’s Top 100 Wines of the World 2015.

The Hamptons style Cellar Door offers relaxed wine tastings on a spacious deck, and a beautiful lawn area for the kids to run around on. Gourmet platters with exquisite local produce are available for you to enjoy with a glass of wine.
