An inaugural food event to be held at PLC this Sunday, Farm2Fork, is set to attract many Western Suburbs food lovers. Patrons will indulge in a range of dishes made from fresh ingredients, direct from some of WA's finest producers, in a pop-up gourmet food village. With all that food there's bound to be some left overs.

Event organiser and PLC parent, Michelle Barrett, said that the PLC community has a culture of being socially responsible and she needed to be very mindful of any waste from the event.

Ms Barrett contacted OzHarvest, Australia's leading food rescue charity, who will collect any wasted food from Farm2Fork and deliver it directly to charities who support people in need. OzHarvest has delivered over 60 million meals since its foundation in 2004.

The Farm2Fork event coincides with Think.Eat.Save events around the country on Monday 24 July, designed to encouraging people to reduce food waste at home, saving food along with time and money.

Tickets to Farm2Fork this Sunday are still available from Adults $70 and Children $35. The event starts at 4.30 pm and will have live music, craft beer and fine wine as well as fabulous fresh and foraged food.
