It’s official. PLC is the Number One sporting girls’ school in Western Australia.

Many of our girls competed in the 11 Independent Girls' Schools' Sporting Association (IGSSA) sports throughout the year and this result proves what we already knew. Each girl gave their absolute all, every time. And this achievement goes even deeper than that. Many students who weren’t directly involved took every opportunity to fill the stands, fly the PLC colours and shout their support.

On top of another incredible Head of the River rowing success (a sport that is not included in the Overall IGSSA Championship) and our 30-year drought-breaking IGSSA Cross-Country Championship, 2016 has been a remarkable year on the sporting front.

At today's final School assembly IGSSA Executive Officer, Louise Carson, presented Principal, Dr Kate Hadwen and Sports Captain, Matilda Morfesse, with the 2016 Championship trophy.

The IGSSA Trophy was presented to Principal Dr Kate Hadwen and Chair of Council E/Prof Tracey Horton at Speech Night, by Head Prefect Phoebe Johnson and Sports Captain Matilda Morfesse.
