Choirs, a string orchestra, concert band, string and woodwind ensembles, chess, dance, art clubs, debating, social service activities together with a wide range of team and individual physical and sporting challenges are part of the stimulating co-curricular programme.
There are many rich and varied possibilities for participation in the arts at PLC. House Arts activities throughout the year culminate in a Performing and Creative Arts Day held in springtime each year. This includes competition between Houses in the performing arts, music, dance and drama as well as the creative arts such as writing, painting, photography, textiles and cooking. The emphasis on Arts Day is on House spirit, fun and fostering a love of the arts.
Other highlights of the School calendar include the annual Proms Concert at the Quarry and the School play in the Hazel Day Drama Centre.
The School also encourages students to enter external competitions, where PLC students are becoming renowned for their outstanding performances.
